Job Description

Role Overview The Director MRO Operations manages the preparation for and accomplishment of airframe, engine and avionics systems maintenance as Post Holder Maintenance in Saudi Arabia, ensuring all activities comply with the Repair Station Quality System as set out in the Quality System Manual. Key Responsibilities Own the performance of maintenance and related services delivered by Line Maintenance, Aircraft and Avionics Maintenance Technicians, ensuring their work meets technical quality standards within Saudi Arabia and on possible AOG events outside the Kingdom. Oversee the dispensing of aircraft servicing tasks and the accomplishment of Line Maintenance functions. Plan, recommend and administer staffing, equipment and facility resources for Line Maintenance, Avionics and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, preparing cost budgets, requisitions, personnel administrative documents and reports. Take responsibility for the overall operating efficiency of the maintenance department. Develop, recommend and implement work method improvements by observing service work, evaluating techniques and soliciting recommendations. Assist in preparing cost estimates and quotations, researching labour and material requirements, and ensure service sales proposals are accurate, competitive and compatible with company financial objectives. Ensure Hazardous Materials Handling Standards are met, personal safety equipment is used where required, and employees adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures. Review customer account status before and during maintenance visits, respond to questions about work performed and resolve billing issues. Ensure on-time delivery of customer aircraft and maintain statistics to measure, monitor and improve shop performance. Keep shops and personnel spaces clean and orderly, and ensure all shop equipment and tools are maintained in serviceable condition. Ensure pertinent technical data and material provided to the repair station are used for the maintenance work performed. Initiate purchase requisitions and make recommendations on stocking levels of parts affecting the maintenance process. Manage shop loss control, measuring, monitoring and implementing scrap and shop loss reduction programmes. Implement corrective action arising from quality and safety compliance monitoring. Review customer critiques and evaluations of services provided, share maintenance visit results with the responsible Line Maintenance, Avionics and Maintenance teams, and periodically share a combined summary with all subordinate employees. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and manufacturer recommendations. Report to the General Manager on the performance of the Quality System for review and as a basis for improvement. Licences & Qualifications GACA and FAA A&P licence required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management or a related field. Experience Minimum 8 years of relevant aviation experience, preferably in an aftermarket repair or maintenance environment. Requirements Strong written and verbal communication in English. Able to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve desired goals and results. Able to identify and maintain a high degree of confidentiality when necessary, including towards any information relating to JASA and its customers. Strong work ethic and sense of urgency, managing competing demands and frequent change while meeting deadlines. Maintain maximum attention to customer demands and complaints and the highest level of credibility. Maintain a good general appearance and respect the hierarchical structure. Build and motivate teamwork, supporting teams to overcome work-related obstacles. Additional Information Physical demands: The role requires use of hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands, and talking or hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit, and occasionally to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regular lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional overhead lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. Close, distance, colour, peripheral and depth vision plus the ability to adjust and focus are required. Work environment: The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas, and outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. Noise levels are usually moderate, with occasional high volume as aircraft arrive and depart, and can be loud. Frequent exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes should be expected. The hangar environment can be extremely hot or cold in certain seasons. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
