Role Overview This position serves as an Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) A&P Technician for an external client. AOG personnel are responsible for all aspects of maintaining the aircraft in accordance with the applicable General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and all applicable FARs. This includes maintenance, inspection and repair of aircraft, special tools and ground support equipment, plus work order preparation, review and completion. Safety is the primary consideration, while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies and the requirements of FAR Part 145 and all other applicable FARs. The role requires a flexible schedule, rapid response ability and, above all, a positive attitude. At times it may require last-minute travel and the ability to carry out maintenance domestically and internationally. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming maintenance calls when on duty or on call. Work with other technicians and vendors to ensure safe action plans are put in place. Inspect, maintain and repair aircraft in accordance with manufacturer manuals and FARs where applicable; coordinate and document all such actions, including communications with managers and leads. Complete work orders and account for parts and billable time. Attend required training on airframe, engines and equipment as needed. Keep work areas clean and follow the company's strict standards of process, safety and quality. Ensure the hangar, vans and other areas are maintained safely and in an orderly manner. Develop and maintain a cohesive, cooperative teamwork environment with flight crews, department managers, technicians and other company employees. Keep company property and assets secure. Licences & Qualifications Current US Airframe and Powerplant mechanic's certificate meeting the requirements of, but not limited to, FAR Part 65.83. Possession of an adequate set of aircraft mechanic's hand tools. Current driver's licence. Ability to pass a DOT background check. No certificate action since the date of interview and no criminal activity since the interview date. Experience Three years of proven experience in a similar position. Prior FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance experience. Knowledge of Citation XLS, Citation Latitude, Gulfstream G-IV and G-V, Hawker 800/900XP and Global Express preferred. Requirements Knowledge of aviation procedures, servicing and maintenance, and of applicable FARs. Adept in workplace safety best practices. Knowledge of computers and electronic software applications; must be computer proficient with MS Office and aviation maintenance software (Corridor). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Able to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. A self-starter able to work with little to no guidance. Highly motivated, detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to multi-task. Travel is required. What We Offer Likely pay range of $50.00-$65.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the hourly wage is set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements. Medical cover including health, dental and vision.
