The airline is now openly recruiting Captains to take charge of piloting the Boeing 737-800 and the associated flight operations duties. Role Overview Recruitment category: Mid-career hire. Employment type: Permanent employee / contract employee. Work location: Narita (Chiba) — head office and Narita Airport. Number of positions: a small number. The role covers piloting the Boeing 737-800 and related flight operations duties on both domestic and international routes. Requirements Hold an Airline Transport Pilot Licence and a Boeing 737-800 type rating. Hold an Aeronautical Radio Operator licence, or an equivalent or higher licence. Hold a First Class Aviation Medical Certificate. Applicants aged 60 or over must have passed the supplementary aviation medical examination. Hold Aviation English Proficiency certification at Level 4 or above. Experience Both of the following must be met: At least 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in airline operations. Total flight time of 4,000 hours, including at least 3,000 hours on jets. What We Offer Salary: in accordance with internal company regulations. Employment type: contract employee initially; you become a permanent employee on passing the captain appointment assessment and being appointed as Captain. Those aged 60 or over remain contract employees even after captain appointment. Pay rises and bonuses: in accordance with company regulations. Allowances: overtime allowance and commuting cost support; a private-car commuting scheme is available. Days off and leave: 125 days per year, plus annual paid leave and special leave for weddings and funerals.
