About the Company Mesa Airlines is a United States regional air carrier operating under FAR Part 121 with a fleet that includes Bombardier CRJ700/900 and Embraer 170-190 series aircraft. Role Overview The Base Licensed A&P Mechanic carries out assigned line maintenance tasks on Company aircraft in accordance with manufacturers' manuals and FAA accepted or approved data. Key Responsibilities Complete all assigned tasks in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals and FAA accepted or approved data. Adhere to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and to Company policies and procedures set out in the General Procedures Manual (GPM) and the Company's FAA-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program. Interpret aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings. Move aircraft in the hangar and on the ramp, including operating the tow tractor. Keep the work area neat, clean and safe at all times. Perform only those tasks for which proper training and qualification has been obtained. Document on-the-job training (OJT) on form T#004 for training received on tasks not previously performed. Perform other duties as assigned. Licences & Qualifications Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings. Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 65.83. Requirements Familiar with the parameters and standards established in Federal Aviation Regulations Parts 43, 65 and 91. Familiar with basic inventory management functions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others. Familiar with computer data entry and Microsoft Windows-based programs. Capable of lifting 75 lbs. Able to work a flexible schedule including day and night shifts. Willing to travel as needed. Additional Information This position is based at El Paso (ELP).
