Job Description

Since 1967, Jet Aviation has been crafting flight in its smoothest form — from one hangar in Basel, Switzerland, to over 4,500 employees and some 50 locations worldwide, spanning Aircraft Management, Aircraft Sales, Charter, Completions, Government Services, FBO, Fixed and Rotary Wing Maintenance, and Staffing. Behind every seamless Jet Aviation experience is a team of dedicated professionals perfecting the art of flight — the craft that brings our customers’ journey to life, in the hangar, on the ground, and behind the scenes. Enabling global flight, with passion. Ready to take your engineering skills to new heights? At Jet Aviation, we’re looking for a B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our passionate and hands-on maintenance team. You’ll play a key role in keeping aircraft safe, airworthy, and ready for takeoff — handling a variety of tasks with precision and pride. Working under our Part 145 approval, you’ll follow aviation regulations, safety policies, and customer requirements — all while being part of a team that values collaboration, expertise, and a strong work ethic. Main Responsibilities Perform duties as an appointed B-level Avionics Engineer, undertaking certification and engineering responsibilities in accordance with company procedures. Oversee and ensure all maintenance activities, records, and certifications are completed accurately and in compliance with approved procedures. Lead daily pre-start meetings and coordinate crew briefings. Plan, direct, and supervise line and hangar maintenance operations. Ensure strict adherence to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and tool control procedures. Manage crew handovers, including clear communication and completion of handover documentation. Monitor the serviceability of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and report any defects for corrective action. Support technical troubleshooting, defect analysis, and investigations, including drafting aircraft malfunction reports. Provide regular updates to management on routine and non-routine maintenance matters. Ensure security of company premises, including end-of-day checks and proper lock-up procedures. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Provide guidance and direction to team members to ensure compliance with procedures and standards. Collaborate with Quality and Safety teams on audits, investigations, and human factors initiatives. Promote and uphold a strong safety-first culture within the technical workforce. Adhere to company policies, including Code of Conduct, safety regulations, and security clearance requirements. Undertake additional duties as assigned to support operational and program success, including raising work requests as required. Minimum Requirements Valid B2 license holder without limitations (preferably CAAS or EASA). Gulfstream, BBJ or ACJ aircraft type rating preferred. English language capability to communicate, read and understand maintenance, safety or quality manuals and documentation. Effective communication skills to exchange technical information. Ability to manage the priorities of the job effectively and efficiently. Desired Characteristics Ability to work in teams. Results driven. Strong customer focus. Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation’s values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency). Physical Demands and Work Environment The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, with occasional high volume when aircraft arrive or depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration, and occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. The employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions, and the hangar environment may be extremely hot or cold during certain seasons of the year. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. If you are interested in a multicultural, challenging and innovative working environment and your profile matches our requirements, we are looking forward to receiving your online application in English.
