Role Overview STS Aviation Services is hiring B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role performs, supervises and certifies avionics and electrical maintenance, modification, testing and troubleshooting activities in accordance with approved standards, Part 145 requirements and company procedures. The engineer holds responsibility for the technical integrity of completed work and ensures assigned aircraft meet all applicable airworthiness and certification requirements before return to service. Job title: B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Reports to: Operations Manager Key Responsibilities Perform and certify avionics maintenance, modifications and testing activities in accordance with Part 145 requirements and company procedures. Coordinate and oversee avionics work carried out by technicians and supervisors. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved technical data, maintenance documentation and work instructions. Carry out aircraft system testing, fault isolation and troubleshooting following modification, installation or repair activities. Diagnose and resolve complex aircraft electrical and avionics issues. Certify aircraft as airworthy following successful completion of assigned work. Support final acceptance testing and functional checks following aircraft modifications. Confirm completed work meets applicable compliance, operational and airworthiness requirements. Review, sign off and release maintenance work packages in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented, traceable and compliant with regulatory and company standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to avionics technicians. Support quality, efficiency, compliance and consistent workmanship across assigned avionics activities. Assist with developing, reviewing and implementing processes and procedures within the Quality Management System. Support continuous improvement initiatives across aircraft maintenance operations. Participate in internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer manuals, service bulletins and Airworthiness Directives applicable to the assigned aircraft types. Licences & Qualifications Valid GCAA or EASA Part-66 B2 licence. Type rated on one or more of the following: B777, A350, A320, A380 or B787. Multiple aircraft type ratings would be advantageous. Experience Minimum of five years' experience in aircraft maintenance. Experience working in both line and base maintenance environments. Strong understanding of GCAA regulations, airworthiness requirements and aircraft certification processes. Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Meticulous attention to detail. Proficient in maintenance management systems, technical documentation and regulatory reporting tools.
