Job Description

About the Company Airbus Helicopters Arabia for Aircraft Maintenance provides helicopter maintenance and support services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the Airbus Helicopters organisation. Role Overview The B2 Avionics Technician ensures optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities so that excellent fleet availability is achieved to the highest quality and safety standards. The role covers detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair and replacement of aircraft components and systems, both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, refurbishment of aircraft and functional checks of components. The technician also delivers on-the-job training (OJT) on location as required. Key Responsibilities Comply with all aviation, safety, quality and export control regulations and procedures. Comply with all Airbus Helicopters management systems, policies and regulations. Work as part of a team performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment. Undertake, individually or as part of a team, aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and completion of documentation in line with company and customer procedures. Check tools and ground support equipment for condition and expiry date before starting any maintenance activity, and ensure they are used correctly. Check components and parts for condition (damage, leaks and similar) before starting any maintenance activity, and confirm the applicable documentation is correct. Perform electrical assembly, integration and modification, system repairs, first level quality inspection and functional tests of aircraft and components. Analyse performance and isolate malfunctions of integrated avionic instrument and flight control systems. Conduct checkouts of avionic instrument and flight control systems and components, including repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments and installation. Inspect avionic instrument and flight control systems. Ensure all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis. Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials. Verify that aircraft status for scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated, that the aircraft is serviceable, and sign the Release to Service. Carry out duties assigned by the Site Manager, completing all work on time and to Airbus delivery quality requirements. Conduct on-the-job training activity. Train personnel in the use of maintenance manuals. Train personnel in all safety directives and foreign object damage (FOD) procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
