About the Company Airbus Helicopters Malaysia SDN. BHD. provides helicopter maintenance (MRO) and Airbus Helicopters Maintenance (AHM) services from Subang, Malaysia. Role Overview The Licensed Aircraft Engineer inspects, maintains and repairs aircraft to ensure they meet regulatory standards for safety and performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical faults, conducting routine maintenance checks, performing repairs or replacement of components and adhering to the maintenance schedules set by the aviation authorities. The LAE may also supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and mechanics, ensure compliance with safety regulations and document all maintenance activities for record-keeping and regulatory purposes. Key Responsibilities Carry out all assigned aircraft maintenance tasks, in base and out of base. Perform assigned tasks within the specified time frame while maintaining a high quality standard. Maintain a suitable working environment through good housekeeping and proper use of tools, equipment and facilities. Take responsibility for compliance with safety requirements relating to the tasks performed. Practise and instil a good work attitude and leadership qualities at all times. Take the initiative to acquire relevant knowledge that improves work performance. Manage consumables cost effectively during maintenance activities, including control of spares wastage. Ensure tasks are distributed evenly across team members and build team spirit. Take responsibility for personnel performance, training, compliance and maintenance staff evaluations. Uphold the Airbus values, leadership model and code of conduct, setting an example and raising awareness of them. Carry out other tasks directed by the superior related to AHM and MRO activity. Licences & Qualifications Licence (mandatory): CAAM B1.3 licence with at least one Airbus Helicopters type rating endorsed; additional types are an advantage. Licence (mandatory): Part-66 Category B1.3 licence, preferably with CAA Malaysia ratings. A rating on the EC225 and/or H160 and/or AS365 is an advantage. Experience At least 5 years of experience on Airbus Helicopters products. Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS). Good knowledge of EASA, FAA and CAAM regulations.
