About the Company Airbus Helicopters UK is the backbone of Britain's civil helicopter hub and is the MoD's chosen provider for the No.1 Helicopter Flying School (MFTS), delivering critical maintenance support for missions that save lives and protect communities. Role Overview AHUK is looking for professional B1 and B2 Licensed Engineers to maintain its standards of safety and operational excellence. Both positions are full time at 40 hours per week and report to the MRO Maintenance Manager. You will work on a diverse fleet including the H125, H130, H135, H145 and H160. Recruitment covers three primary UK sites, and you can choose a permanent base at one location or a rotating role supporting the business across all sites as required: AHUK at London Oxford Airport (Kidlington), the headquarters and civil MRO hub; RAF Shawbury in Shropshire, supporting the MFTS fleet; and RAF Valley in Anglesey, supporting the MFTS fleet. Key Responsibilities B1 Licensed Engineer (Mechanical) Certify maintenance, repairs and inspections on airframe structures, power plants and mechanical systems. Oversee maintenance fitters and certify their work. B2 Licensed Engineer (Avionics) Accomplish maintenance inspections and rectifications on electrical and avionics systems. Use specialised test equipment to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft. Licences & Qualifications B1 role (essential): CAA Part-66 B1.3 licence (turbine rotorcraft). B2 role (preferred): CAA Part-66 B2 licence. AHUK type ratings include H125, H130, H135, H145 and H160. Requirements Thorough working knowledge of CAA Part-145, Part M and UK ANO requirements. Customer focus: the ability to identify customer problems and drive sustainable solutions. Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Excellent communication skills and a highly presentable manner at all levels. All applicants must demonstrate the right to work in the UK. Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, which typically requires UK residence for the last 5 years; a DBS check is also required. Must meet all ITAR and export compliance regulations. Requirements
