Role Overview STS Aviation Services is hiring experienced B1 Aircraft Mechanics on contract to support its winter maintenance programme at the Newquay hangar in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The role performs aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on large commercial aircraft, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with STS Aviation Services and customer requirements. It requires recent hands-on mechanical experience on live commercial aircraft, strong knowledge of aircraft systems and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance and labour records. Complete aircraft repair, maintenance and overhaul activities. Follow STS Aviation Services and customer-specific interface processes. Record all completed maintenance activities accurately. Ensure man-hour bookings are completed correctly and on time. Maintain high standards of aircraft maintenance workmanship. Complete assigned maintenance activities efficiently and within required timeframes. Support customer expectations for quality and operational performance. Maintain high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness. Follow all company procedures and policies. Comply with workplace health and safety requirements. Follow Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Experience At least two years of aircraft maintenance experience. Experience performing repairs, overhaul and maintenance on large commercial aircraft. Previous hands-on mechanical experience working with live aircraft. Good knowledge of aircraft systems. Requirements Valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, or the ability to obtain one. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Additional Information Right to work: applicants must either be citizens of the United Kingdom, or hold valid authorisation to work for any employer in the United Kingdom with at least two years remaining before expiration.
