About the Company TUI Engineering and Maintenance is a highly skilled global team responsible for keeping the TUI fleet operating safely, punctually and cost-effectively. Role Overview This opportunity is based at Birmingham Airport and works a rolling shift pattern covering days and nights. Reporting to the Station Engineer, Duty Engineer or Supervisor, you will be part of a highly skilled global team ensuring TUI Engineering and Maintenance operates safely, punctually and in a cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and certify it in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures Monitor 'A' Licensed colleagues and certify their work and tasks Support a performance-oriented approach, delivering excellence in technical dispatch reliability while continuously focusing on the technical and cabin health of the fleet to minimise acceptable deferred defects Support away-from-base requirements as required, including down-route rescues, flying spanner duties and other base support within the TUI Group Engage, develop and maintain relationships internally and externally, promoting the TUI Group and increasing awareness of its strategy Provide technical updates to your Supervisor, Duty Engineer, Station Engineer or LMM as requested or required Deputise as and when requested Ensure compliance with local airport regulations, company procedures and technical, health & safety, environmental management, IT and HR policies What We Offer Personal benefits: attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health & well-being support, and more Flexible working: work is something you do, not somewhere you go, with a dynamic working environment supporting a healthy work-life balance A career to shape: access the TUI Learning Hub to develop your skills and reach your ambitions Broaden your network: intercultural collaboration and opportunities to work on global projects and teams Community: get involved with local charity and sustainability initiatives such as the TUI Care Foundation

Requirements

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and certify it in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures
  • Monitor 'A' Licensed colleagues and certify their work and tasks
  • Support a performance-oriented approach, delivering excellence in technical dispatch reliability while continuously focusing on the technical and cabin health of the fleet to minimise acceptable deferred defects
  • Support away-from-base requirements as required, including down-route rescues, flying spanner duties and other base support within the TUI Group
