Role Overview Provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to minimise schedule impact, and implement process changes that reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality. The technician may fill in for the Senior Avionics and Electrical Technician, ensuring the company goals of safety and quality are enforced at all times while adhering to daily work plans to maintain schedule requirements. This is a first-shift position supporting Special Missions aircraft at the Gulfstream Savannah service centre. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate technical skill and expertise in the operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems Perform the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems on aircraft in accordance with engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals, ensuring a defect-free system Ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoot processes and concepts to deliver timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems Repair or replace defective components and wiring so that installations meet conformity, using accepted repair techniques including splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required Set up and operate the necessary test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability Ensure that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems and components Comply with the company FOD programme, tool control programme, 5S programme and all safety regulations Adapt to sudden schedule changes Additional duties In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, work may include flight tests on aircraft as required Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Special Missions experience preferred but not required Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls or structural installations and repairs, is preferred Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas and lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Licences & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) licence preferred FCC licence preferred; NCATT certification preferred Experience High school diploma or GED required Four years of experience in an avionics or electrical career field; or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus two years of related experience Additional Information Department: Service Center Employment type: Full-time Shift: First Travel: Up to 25% Posting end date: 25 August 2026 Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.

Requirements
