Role Overview Provide technical expertise while performing operational and functional tests and repairs of avionics, electronic and aircraft equipment and systems to ensure a defect-free aircraft. The technician gives superior technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to keep schedule impact to a minimum, and defines and implements process changes that reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate superior technical skill and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals, ensuring a defect-free system Ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoot and teach troubleshooting processes and concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems Repair or replace defective components and wiring so that installations meet conformity, using accepted techniques including splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring Oversee the performance of and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required Set up and operate the necessary test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability Maintain daily logs and other paperwork, ensuring that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented Pre-inspect the work of others before submitting it to inspection for approval, reducing rework and inspection time Provide knowledge and technical expertise in testing and maintaining test equipment, electronic systems and components as required Enforce the company foreign object damage programme, tool control programme, 5S programme and all safety regulations Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines on projects Additional duties Where required, teach the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals Self-inspection capability for all avionics testing functions in applicable areas In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, work may include flight tests on aircraft as required Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of aircraft systems other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installation and repair APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Licences & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Five years of experience in an avionics or electrical career field; two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of the experience requirement A&P licence, FCC licence or NCATT certification preferred Experience This is a first shift position: Monday to Thursday, 05:45 to 16:15, with overtime as necessary Additional Information Department: Service Center Employment type: Full-time Shift: First Travel: None Posting end date: 28 August 2026 Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.

Requirements

• Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of aircraft systems other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installation and repair
• APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
