Role Overview Perform the less complex tasks of functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center. You may be required to assist higher and lower grade technicians. This position works the 6th shift, Monday to Thursday on a 4x10 evening schedule. Key Responsibilities Carry out the functional testing required to isolate a customer complaint in a particular avionics system and repair that aircraft system in accordance with FAA procedures. Diagnose problems and take corrective action based on in-flight analysis and/or evaluation of information received from the customer. Troubleshoot problems down to defective units or wiring discrepancies. Replace defective units, repair wiring and modify the aircraft as required. Accompany the pilot in flight as required to functional test repaired or aligned systems. Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams and oral and written instructions to perform job duties. Responsible only for own work. Perform other related duties as required.
