Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring Avionics Technicians in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The role suits skilled professionals with strong troubleshooting experience in avionics systems, electrical systems and related aircraft technologies, and plays a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability and performance of aircraft within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft. Communicate with the department manager or crew chief on problems or repairs. Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorised repair station inspector. Prepare documentation for record-keeping in compliance with company policies, FAA repair station and quality control manuals, FAA regulations and OEM manufacturer manuals. Learn, understand and follow the company work order and parts requisition process. Maintain a clean, neat and efficient work area. Repair and calibrate shop equipment as assigned. Licences & Qualifications A&P licence or FCC licence is a plus. Experience Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics and airframe systems. Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135 and 145. Experience working with and repairing: autopilots; flight management systems; navigation and communication systems; EFIS; aircraft electrical systems; lighting; pitot and static systems. Bench repair capabilities preferred. Requirements Willingness to work in a team with experienced technicians and to mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanour. Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ability to analyse and interpret technical procedures, professional journals or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence or procedural manuals. Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work.
