Role Overview Flexjet, an award-winning organisation, is looking for an experienced Avionics Service Technician to join its team. This position is located at Flexjet's Dallas Love Field facility. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, modify and calibrate aircraft electronic systems and components Certify integrated avionics systems and components at intermediate levels using shop avionics support equipment and specialised precision measuring equipment Analyse malfunctions, and calibrate and maintain avionics support equipment using calibration standards Install, align and wire electrical and electronic components such as sensors, radio communications, antennas and lights Perform continuity checks and functional checkouts of complete aircraft systems Process inspection forms and sign as technician once work is completed Notify the proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found while performing duties Set up and operate the necessary test equipment, and conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality Maintain a clean and neat work area, and support facility cleanliness and general housekeeping Perform other duties as required Licences & Qualifications Licence: A&P licence High school diploma or equivalent Experience 4 years of related corporate avionics experience Must be highly proficient in both the troubleshooting/service and installation sides of the role Advanced certification in avionics preferred Requirements Must be flexible with shift work (3rd shift and one day per weekend) Must be able to stand, sit and bend for extended periods of time Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Valid driver's licence Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Ability to pass a background check and obtain an airport badge Additional Information Work environment: The role involves frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, and loud noise levels in the workplace and at job sites. Physical demands: The employee is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds is required. Close, distance, colour and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.
Requirements
