Auditor, Airworthiness Directives & Assemblies Compliance

The Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Assemblies Compliance Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits and quality reviews of aircraft maintenance records, Airworthiness Directive compliance documentation, and serialized component records to ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company maintenance programs and quality standards.

Compliance & Audit Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control reviews of aircraft, engine, APU, landing gear, and component records maintained in AirVault to ensure accuracy, completeness, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of Airworthiness Directive compliance records to verify accomplishment, documentation accuracy, applicability determination, and continuing compliance.
  • Review maintenance transactions and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Verify accuracy of time-controlled component and maintenance program tracking data within applicable maintenance information systems.
  • Audit component and assembly records to verify installation traceability, maintenance accomplishment documentation, and maintenance program tracking requirements.

Discrepancy Management

  • Disposition and resolve maintenance records discrepancies related to installed components, serialized assemblies, and maintenance accomplishments.
  • Disposition computer system discrepancies identified by Tech Ops System Support (TOSS) pertaining to parts installation and tracking data.
  • Identify, document, and track recordkeeping discrepancies through established corrective action processes and coordinate resolution to closure with Maintenance, Engineering, Records, and Technical Operations personnel.
  • Escalate significant airworthiness, regulatory, or documentation compliance concerns through established Quality Assurance processes.

Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze audit findings and compliance trends and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve aircraft records processes, documentation standards, system controls, and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for management requests.

Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Records, Planning, and Quality Assurance personnel to resolve compliance issues.
  • Support internal, regulatory, and external audits by providing records research and compliance validation.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, within the function and occasionally across multiple functions. Some external customer, vendor, manager and/or regulatory official communication may be required.
  • Work effectively in a team environment within the work group to attain goals and deliver results.
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail while performing compliance oversight activities.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in airline maintenance, maintenance records, quality assurance, technical records, continuing analysis and surveillance, regulatory compliance, or a related Technical Operations function.
  • Familiarity with concepts for time-tracked components and tasks.
  • Experience with electronic aircraft records management systems; AirVault experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance recordkeeping practices, records retention requirements, and airworthiness documentation standards.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance records, Airworthiness Directives, continued airworthiness requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and abilities.
  • General business knowledge required.
  • Must be willing to work extra hours when necessary (nights/weekends when required).
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives, service bulletins, engineering orders, and maintenance planning concepts.
  • Experience interpreting maintenance manuals, engineering documents, and regulatory requirements.
