The Role Babcock is looking to expand its Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) AW169 maintenance functions and is currently recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to be based at our Kamloops, British Columbia facility. All AMEs will be responsible to the Crew Chief for the completion of the maintenance and repair tasks assigned to them, while ensuring compliance with Babcock Canada's MPM and the Canadian Aviation Regulations. In This Role, You Will Work efficiently alone and as part of a team to conduct scheduled maintenance tasks under the guidance of a licensed AME. Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair AW169 aircraft mechanical systems under the guidance of a licensed AME. Monitor and complete task cards and work cards in CAMP. Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment. Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for tasks/jobs. Maintain a clean and productive work area. Conduct aircraft cleaning duties of interior and exterior (excluding medical biohazards). Read, understand, and adhere to the Safety & Health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, Company Policies and Procedures, and the MPM. Utilize the company reporting system to report any hazard, incident, or accident. Enter labour in the labour tracking system accurately for all tasks performed. Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Brings Willingness to relocate to the required base location. Enrolment in an accredited AME apprentice program or graduation from a Transport Canada accredited AME diploma program. Experience working on a rotary-wing asset, ideally on Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family aircraft, particularly the AW169. Demonstrated experience working on CAMP, Winair or other similar maintenance programs. Good organizational skills. Proficiency in English, written and spoken. The physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods and to walk and/or stand for extended periods; the physical dexterity to work in confined spaces; and comfortability working at heights. The ability and willingness to undertake shift work and to travel for 2 weeks at a time. Eligibility for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). The right to work in Canada and/or hold or be able to obtain a Canadian passport. A valid driver's license.
