Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Technicians in Macon, Georgia. The technician examines, repairs, assembles and tests aircraft accessories such as engines, power brake units, auxiliary electric motors, carburettors, spark igniters, valves, pumps, fuselage, wings and oil and fuel tanks, using hand tools and testing devices and following shop orders and manufacturer specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and special maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components, including complete operational checks on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, plumbing, precision assemblies, rigging and controls Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced, decide on the necessary repair scheme and the quantity and type of parts needed, and secure those parts from Stores or departmental supplies Repair, rework and modify worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary Follow approved maintenance procedures for the subject component or system, consulting FAA-approved internal procedures, OEM technical data and work package instructions Consult the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process Inspect completed work before sign-off to identify any needed rework, perform that rework, and ensure repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances Perform serviceability tests on repaired components and systems using OEM-specified test equipment Complete work package documentation by signing or stamping after finishing all designated operations Submit completed and in-progress work to the Maintenance Lead for review and to Quality Assurance for inspection and re-certification of airworthiness Provide the supervisor with performance statistics and other operational data as requested Properly account for time and materials used in all inspection and maintenance activities Requirements Assignments require standard knowledge of a technical area, with rapid learning and application of new information and concepts Ability to perform moderately complex technical assignments and to assist advanced-level technicians on more complex work Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair and maintenance Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer service Skilled in repairing, troubleshooting, installing and maintaining equipment Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA-approved work package instructions and to inspect and install parts and components Ability to work in a safe, professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, state and federal regulations Where required by the position, ability to wear a respirator in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 respiratory protection regulations, with no restrictions preventing proper use or seal Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required Employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations Licences & Qualifications Education: high school diploma or GED Required: FAA A&P licence Experience Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with small aircraft or general aviation, trained in one aircraft type, with proficient and demonstrated skill on the aircraft Several years of actual, recent depot-level aircraft maintenance and repair experience is required, covering repair of mechanical systems, components, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and rigging Proficiency interpreting OEM technical data and work package instructions Experience using power or pneumatic hand tools Additional Information To speak to a recruiting professional directly, call 1-800-359-4787. Requirements

• Where required by the position, ability to wear a respirator in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 respiratory protection regulations, with no restrictions preventing proper use or seal
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
• Employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
• Education: high school diploma or GED
• Required: FAA A&P licence
