Role Overview Mobile Service Technicians (MST) focus on the maintenance activities and work scope of customer aircraft, identifying and correcting issues on malfunctioning aircraft mechanical components and systems. The role performs a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet aircraft and assists with scheduling and coordinating the work of others in the crew. You will assist the MST Lead Mechanic, including coordinating and communicating aircraft issues with the customer, reviewing the work scope with customers, adding squawks as required, responding to customer enquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating with the Service Center team. You will also help oversee the maintenance of the mobile service vehicle, making sure it is always properly serviced and roadworthy. Key Responsibilities Ensure the work scope is completed in a timely manner and that work is performed in accordance with established policy, procedure and quality standards. Perform a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on one or more aircraft models, involving diagnosis of malfunctions and the required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare the aircraft mechanically for flight and delivery to the customer. Thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, mechanical systems and components on all assigned aircraft is required. Check, correct or replace a variety of complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioning systems, pressurisation systems and optional equipment installations. Order and obtain the parts necessary to effect aircraft repairs, and ensure cores are returned in accordance with established procedure. Apply knowledge of the inspection procedures set out in FAR Part 145, and ensure documentation procedures are completed as required by FAR 43 and all other applicable FARs. Produce clear, concise and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports and parts identification for issue and return documents. Ensure all maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations or specialised services performed comply with the inspection system procedures outlined in the Quality Control manual. Observe the operation of mechanical systems during flight where required and troubleshoot problems for in-shop repairs. Communicate the safety expectations of the Service Center. Monitor the work environment to ensure it is kept in a safe and orderly condition, and identify and correct unsafe acts. Work as a member of a team focused on meeting customer expectations, with mechanics and avionics technicians assisting each other as required. Assist the Lead MST in ensuring all equipment and tooling on the mobile service vehicle is inspected, properly maintained and serviced as required for safe and efficient operation. Assist the Lead MST in keeping the mobile service vehicle in safe operating condition, with correct fluid levels and tyre pressures and with wiper blades, hoses, tyres and similar items inspected, repaired or replaced as required. Requirements Must obtain a Textron-issued driver licence and hold a valid state-issued driver licence; both are required to operate company-owned vehicles or vehicles under Textron control.
