About the Company Textron Aviation services Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft through its network of service centres. Role Overview Textron Aviation is hiring immediately for a full-time Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic in its Wichita Service Center on the weekend day shift (7th shift). In this role you work hands-on with advanced aircraft systems, supporting aftermarket modifications and maintenance in a fast-paced service centre environment, and play a critical role in delivering high-quality aircraft to customers by diagnosing issues, performing complex repairs and ensuring systems are fully operational. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Aircraft diagnostics and troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and system malfunctions across jet, turboprop and multi-engine aircraft, ensuring accurate root cause identification and efficient repair execution Repair and system modifications: perform disassembly, repair, replacement and reassembly of aircraft systems and components, including supporting aftermarket modifications and upgrades to meet customer specifications System testing and operational checks: conduct functional tests, engine runs and system alignments, ensuring all avionics and mechanical systems meet operational and safety standards prior to delivery Inspection and compliance: execute 100-hour, annual and progressive inspections in accordance with FAR 43 requirements, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and quality standards Technical documentation and reporting: complete detailed and accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports and parts documentation to support compliance and traceability Customer-focused maintenance support: support service centre operations by delivering reliable, high-quality maintenance solutions, occasionally troubleshooting in-flight issues and mentoring less experienced technicians Licences & Qualifications Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) licence Knowledge of 100-hour, annual and progressive inspection requirements under FAR 43 What We Offer Full-time position with immediate start on the weekend day shift
Requirements
