Job Description

Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics to join the team in Pompano Beach, Florida, performing maintenance, inspections and repairs on TBM and Kodiak aircraft at a certified Part 145 repair station. As an A&P Mechanic you will maintain airframe, powerplant and propeller systems in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications, working with a skilled team, interpreting technical data, performing system diagnostics and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the aircraft fleet. Key Responsibilities Use FAA-approved data such as the IPC, AMM, OHM and CMM proficiently Perform airframe, powerplant and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements Remove and disassemble defective parts, assemble and install replacement parts and test aircraft systems Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems using data approved or accepted by the manufacturer or FAA Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the job assignment Complete all required maintenance records as stated in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and accurately record time worked on the aircraft work order Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints Tow and park aircraft Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality Keep a clean and neat work area, including basic shop upkeep such as sweeping, mopping and cleaning Perform other aircraft maintenance work and duties as required Requirements Lifting and moving items of 50 lbs Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel and walk for extended periods Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands and other heights, and to work with one or both hands extended overhead Ability to travel as needed Basic computer skills Ability to read, write and understand English Must have own tools Must be eligible to work legally in the US and hold a valid US driver's licence Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate required High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required Experience 5+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, including previous work with single-engine turboprop aircraft Experience with TBM aircraft preferred Familiarity with PT6 engines is a strong advantage About the Company STS Technical Services is a Top 100 staffing firm that partners with leading companies across the aerospace, aviation, manufacturing and defense industries, helping skilled professionals find jobs with competitive pay, strong benefits and long-term career potential.

Requirements
