Role Overview The A&P Mechanic is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all systems on Boeing 757-200 aircraft, including engine removal and installation. The role operates in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and requires frequent outdoor work. Additional duties include administrative tasks related to FAA Part 125 operations and flying as an onboard technician performing cabin safety duties. Location: Richmond, Virginia (onsite). Schedule: 5/8, Monday to Friday, mission dependent. The role requires being domiciled within one hour response time of Richmond International Airport to meet time-sensitive schedule requirements and on-call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate thorough knowledge of FAA operational procedures and inspection requirements. Apply advanced troubleshooting and maintenance expertise across all aircraft systems. Work effectively with a broad range of technical references including OEM manuals, commercial documentation, blueprints and engineering drawings. Complete administrative tasks related to FAA Part 125 operations. Become qualified as Cabin Safety Crew (CSC) / Flight Attendant and perform flight duties. Travel on short notice, both CONUS and OCONUS. Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet company objectives. Licences & Qualifications Active Airframe and Powerplant certification (A&P licence). Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain FAA airport access / security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred: active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance; FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification. Experience High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary / associate degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Demonstrated ability to read, speak and write English with proficiency. Familiarity or experience with FAA FAR Parts 91/121/125/135 (preferred). Preferred: Boeing aircraft maintenance experience. Requirements Role requires bending, climbing, and loading and unloading aircraft cargo. Ability to lift and/or move 75 pounds. Position includes flight duties. What We Offer Salary range of $71,500 - $132,500 for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York State, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia, under pay transparency requirements.
