Role Overview Skyborne is looking for a skilled A&P Mechanic to maintain and repair the equipment needed to keep aircraft operating safely. The role covers repair, inspection and maintenance of the structural, mechanical and electronic elements of the aircraft, replacing parts, measuring wear and assessing whether parts need repair or replacement. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company and repair station manuals, company and department policies, and the FAA ASAP and Skyborne SMS programmes. Ensure consistent quality of workmanship. Licences & Qualifications Required: Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licence. Required: high school diploma or GED; a two-year college or technical school degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. Required: must pass a drug screening and background check, plus TSA badging if required for the role, contingent on employment. Experience Required: minimum of two years' general aviation experience covering 100-hour and annual inspections, sheet metal repairs, systems troubleshooting and parts replacement. Requirements Must be flexible about working weekends. Required: able to read and understand technical manuals. Positive, professional attitude with the ability to interact professionally with various levels of management. General knowledge and use of hand tools. Work and interact professionally with other mechanics and supervisors. Familiar with firefighting and first aid equipment. Excellent organisational skills. General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; other software may be required as needed. Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Typing speed of 40+ wpm preferred. What We Offer Starting salary of $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. After one year of service, the opportunity to obtain a Private Pilot's licence: Skyborne accommodates the time and cost of ground school training, a value of $12,000, with support from its certified flight instructors throughout flight training.
