Job Description

Role Overview A&P Mechanic position (CVG Line MX-145) in Kalitta Air's Part 145 Maintenance department, reporting to the Manager, CVG Line MX, and responsible to that manager for the daily performance of duties. Key Responsibilities Work with little or no supervision and complete assignments with little or no rework Read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Safety Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives and blueprints covering repairs, parts locations and replacement Troubleshoot aircraft systems and repair them in accordance with approved data Remove and replace any and all parts using approved data Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft systems Follow safety rules and procedures Follow FAA and company policies and procedures Keep the work area clean and neat at all times Licences & Qualifications Valid A&P licence - certificate must cover both airframe and powerplant High school graduate Experience Two years of experience Requirements Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, write routine reports and correspondence, and give verbal and written direction to assigned staff Physically able to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds Work is performed primarily in an outdoor setting Additional Information Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Requirements
