Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring an A&P Floor Inspector in Waterford, Michigan. This is an afternoon-shift contract opportunity with strong potential for direct hire, built for an experienced aircraft maintenance professional who knows corporate aviation, understands inspection discipline and can support return-to-service work independently. The A&P Floor Inspector oversees corporate aircraft maintenance activities and ensures all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, repair station procedures and company quality standards. The role provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel, performs in-process and final inspections, reviews maintenance documentation and supports aircraft return-to-service activities in a fast-paced corporate aviation environment. The position is scheduled for afternoon shift coverage and requires a highly experienced professional capable of working with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections on corporate aircraft maintenance activities Ensure all maintenance work complies with FAA regulations, repair station procedures and manufacturer specifications Review maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians on the hangar floor Inspect airframe, engine and aircraft systems for airworthiness and conformity Assist with troubleshooting and resolving maintenance discrepancies Verify proper completion of logbook entries, work orders and return-to-service documentation Coordinate with Quality, Production and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient workflow and compliance Maintain a safe and organised work environment Support aircraft on road trips or offsite maintenance events when required Licences & Qualifications Licence: current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant licence with no history of infractions Inspection Authorization strongly preferred FCC licence is a plus Factory or equivalent training on Gulfstream, Falcon, Learjet, Challenger, Hawker or Citation aircraft preferred Experience Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience required Previous aircraft inspection experience required Recent hands-on experience with turbine-powered aircraft required Proven corporate airframe maintenance experience required Experience working under FAA Part 145 repair station operations required; Part 135 experience preferred Requirements Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with minimal supervision Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance documents and engineering specifications Excellent communication skills, professionalism and attention to detail Flexibility to work afternoons, overtime, weekends and occasional offsite assignments as needed What We Offer Long-term contract opportunity with direct hire potential Competitive compensation Opportunity to work with leading corporate aviation maintenance teams in a fast-paced, professional environment Exposure to some of the most recognised corporate aircraft platforms in the industry About the Company STS Technical Services is a leading provider of workforce solutions across the aviation, aerospace, defense, manufacturing and industrial markets, connecting skilled professionals with companies that need technical expertise, operational support and project-based talent.
Requirements
