Role Overview The Line Maintenance Representative performs preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications and other line maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Communicate with all departments within the company. Travel for station coverage, training and other maintenance support; work outside in all types of weather and be on call as needed. Assist Airport Planning and Properties with property and environmental issues. Maintain station manuals and parts and tooling inventory. Carry out aircraft de-icing, snow removal, ground support equipment maintenance and MXI work as needed. Travel regionally to verify that stations will pass FAA and QA audits. Travel regionally to train new team members on paperwork, MXI, manuals and similar. Perform other duties as assigned. Licences & Qualifications A&P licence. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's licence and the ability to pass an MVR background check. Ability to obtain a SIDA badge (federally required background check for access to airports, aircraft and air cargo). Experience 2 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft. Ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems, with aircraft systems and technical knowledge concentrated on the aircraft type at the station applied for. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage, and ability to work unsupervised. Good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication; self-motivation, integrity, cooperation, professionalism and leadership. Preferred: 4 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft, 2 years of hands-on line management experience on aircraft types operated by ABX, and 757/767 experience. Additional Information Physical requirements include the ability to travel on company aircraft as required, to stoop, bend and manipulate tools in small spaces, to work in adverse and outdoor conditions, to wear a respirator and safety protective equipment as indicated, to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs and to perform work at heights up to 60 ft.
