Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring a licensed Aircraft Structures Technician in Waco, Texas. The role suits experienced sheet metal professionals who take pride in precision, craftsmanship and safety. You will perform structural maintenance and repairs on a variety of fixed-wing aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft structural maintenance, repair and modification on components such as skins, frames, floor beams and fittings Fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal parts and assemblies using proper materials, layout techniques and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and technical manuals to determine accurate repair methods and sequences Select appropriate materials, including aluminium, steel, stainless steel, plastics and fibreglass, per manufacturer and FAA standards Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, dividers and rulers to mark and develop patterns for repair or fabrication Document all work performed, including logbook entries, removal logs and part routing tags, to ensure traceability and compliance Perform inspections to verify quality, functionality and regulatory compliance Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area while supporting facility maintenance as needed Participate in the FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing programme as required Requirements Strong understanding of aircraft materials, structures and repair procedures Skilled in the use of rivet guns, drills and sheet metal forming tools Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, repair manuals and quality assurance standards Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus) Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Licences & Qualifications Required: valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate, or Repairman Certificate under FAR Part 65 Experience 10 to 15 years of aircraft structural repair experience preferred Hands-on experience with Boeing (737, 747, 767) and/or Airbus (A330, A340) platforms preferred What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time position with comprehensive benefits Opportunities for overtime and career advancement Additional Information To apply or speak with a recruiter, call 1-800-359-4787.
