Role Overview The Aircraft Parts Inspector reports to the Director, COE Demand Planning, and receives technical mentorship and guidance from the Part Evaluation Manager. Key Responsibilities Evaluate the condition of unserviceable aircraft parts and classify them according to the action required Evaluate the cost of repair and overhaul of quarantined parts Receive merchandise from different sources for evaluation Provide certification of all aircraft parts required for Top Aces (Alpha Jet and A-4) Collaborate with the Top Aces supply chain team and suppliers to ensure vendor quality assurance Support Top Aces safety programmes and the Quality Management System Attend training courses to ensure continued qualifications Assist in the on-the-job training and instruction of personnel as required Ensure master data related to certification, status and condition is maintained and accurate Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures May be required to provide regular guidance, advice and training to other employees supporting the function Licences & Qualifications Must hold a valid Transport Canada M1 or M2 licence Position requires Secret Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in aviation Experience with technical data in an aviation company Experience dealing with the certification of aircraft parts Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, to communicate effectively with internal and external customers across Canada and internationally Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Able to work independently and carry assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices Ability to perform all work in support of the Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity and Together, with strong and visible support of those values Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations Follow safe work practices and procedures and use safeguards and personal protective equipment Report hazards, such as unsafe situations and activities, to a supervisor immediately What We Offer A work environment in which service, integrity, excellence and teamwork are highly valued Opportunities for development and growth Multidisciplinary and multicultural collaboration at local and global level A flexible schedule Attractive benefit plan Come share your passion with us. Requirements
