Role Overview The Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) assigns, leads, directs and approves the work of the other AMTs under their supervision, and takes part in performing that work as required. The Lead AMT reports to a Line Maintenance Supervisor and carries out instructions in accordance with FAA regulations and Breeze policy and procedures. Pay: entry pay is based on your experience (up to $39.00 starting pay) and Breeze's established criteria. A $2.00 shift differential is added for work between 9:00 PM and 7:30 AM. Key Responsibilities Assign, lead and direct the work of the AMTs under your supervision. Ensure all work and maintenance duties comply with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and company policy and procedures. Take responsibility and accountability for all work performed at the local station. Communicate aircraft status to Maintenance Operations Control (MOC). Complete all appropriate Breeze forms for work assigned and performed. Handle all parts, units, assemblies and aircraft properly while in the repair process. Keep documentation current for open discrepancies and completed corrective actions. Complete all required documentation for maintenance work performed and inspections conducted accurately. Submit personal OJT task cards on time and accurately. Keep the work area safe, clean and operative, and account for all tools at the end of every assigned task. Care for and correctly use the tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance. Notify the Maintenance Supervisor and other appropriate Team Members of any condition that would compromise the airworthiness of a Breeze aircraft. Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or Repairman Certificate and keep it available for inspection by the FAA, NTSB or a Breeze Supervisor/Manager. Perform other duties and tasks assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC and/or the DOM. Meet performance measures and established standards in line with the Breeze values. Requirements At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement. Able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications. Valid driver's licence. Valid passport with no travel restrictions. Authorisation to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime if needed. Willing to travel 20% of the time and to work with other departments as needed. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test. Must pass a TSA fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check. Able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements. Able to read, write, speak and understand English; must be fluent in English. Preferred Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Part 121 operations. Experience maintaining Airbus A220 and Embraer E-Jet family aircraft. Familiarity with an airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAX. Degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance or business. Licences & Qualifications Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant licence (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types. A Repairman Certificate is accepted as an alternative certificate to be held and kept available for inspection. Experience 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience maintaining commercial aircraft. Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), excellent oral and written communication, and strong problem-solving ability. Able to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation and to exemplify the Breeze safety culture, values and mission. Additional Information Physical demands and working conditions: frequently lift, carry, push or pull items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds (with assistance as needed); climb ladders, work stands and aircraft structures and work at height; work in confined spaces, awkward positions and varying weather on the ramp or in the hangar; regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach for extended periods; frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle components, requiring manual dexterity; adequate vision for close inspection and hearing to detect unusual sounds, with exposure to noise and fumes.
