Role Overview The Aircraft Maintenance Technician III reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the efficient execution of the work scope and for the maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations performed under the authority of the company's Certificated Repair Station. Location: Los Angeles, California (KVNY). Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 4/10 schedule, swing shift. Key Responsibilities Perform general to complex maintenance tasks on assigned aircraft and related systems, including removal and installation of panels and components, repair work, and sheet metal repair or installation. Perform aircraft mechanic duties requiring a strong level of repair knowledge and troubleshooting. Examine, disassemble and inspect engines, parts and components for wear, warping, breaks, leaks or other non-conformities and deficiencies. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools. Service and maintain aircraft systems, including flushing crankcases, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts and checking brakes. Repair, replace and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging and hydraulic units. Disassemble and reassemble aircraft, systems or components following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications. Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Adjust, align and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges and test equipment. Use current, applicable technical data and do not deviate from it without appropriate approvals. Document all work performed, including references to technical data used, on the work order squawk form and other required forms. Document all parts and equipment removed from or installed on aircraft on removal and installation forms. Ensure material has been properly received before installation and verify shelf life has not expired. Verify calibrated tooling calibration due date and condition prior to use. Document identified discrepancies on the Discrepancy Collection Form. Adhere to all company and OSHA-regulated policies and procedures; maintain an outstanding attendance record. Adhere to and promote the company's vision, mission and values daily, and promote an efficient, professional work environment. Maintain proficiency with tools, techniques and acceptable practices used in maintenance and alteration duties. Participate in continuous improvement projects as directed. Be available to work different shifts and weekends as requested, and travel away from the primary facility for training and work. Perform other duties as assigned. Licences & Qualifications Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required. Experience 6+ years of experience; corporate/business jet experience strongly preferred. Requirements Comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations, the company operations manual, operations specifications, standard operating procedures and company policies and procedures. Must pass DOT/FAA drug screening and background checks and submit to random drug and alcohol testing when required. Build strong customer relations and deliver customer-centric solutions. What We Offer Likely pay range of $46.00-$60.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the hourly wage is set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements.
