Role Overview Flexjet, an award-winning organisation, is looking for an experienced, certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join its innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private aircraft. The role is responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs, including airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems, making repairs and conducting tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. This position is located in Teterboro, New Jersey, and requires working nights. Key Responsibilities Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts and test aircraft systems Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to complete job assignments Complete all required maintenance records accurately, including accurate reporting of the time taken to complete assigned tasks Support all company policies and safety programmes, including OSHA and EPA regulations Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints Maintain a clean and neat work area Demonstrate professionalism and deliver satisfaction to internal and external customers Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licence is required Good working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 145, 135 and 121 Experience 2 to 4 years of directly related aviation experience (corporate aircraft experience preferred) At least 2 years of fleet type experience desired Sheet metal experience preferred but not required Requirements Highly motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure and to tight timescales Ability to multi-task within a team environment Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs Proven inspection competencies Detail-oriented and well organised, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude Specialised aircraft tooling is furnished by the company. What We Offer Starting pay rate of $85,120.00 or more, based on experience Specialised aircraft tooling furnished by the company Additional Information Work environment: The role involves frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, and loud noise levels in the workplace and at job sites. Physical demands: The employee is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds is required. Close, distance, colour and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.
