Role Overview The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations of Breeze aircraft, including troubleshooting, performing run-up and taxi procedures and signing mechanical flight releases. The AMT reports to a Line Maintenance Supervisor and carries out instructions as assigned in accordance with FAA regulations and Breeze policy and procedures. As certified AMTs, postholders have an important role in ensuring the safety of fellow Breeze Team Members and Guests as well as the airworthiness of the fleet. Key Responsibilities Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Be responsible and accountable for all work performed. Complete all appropriate Breeze forms for work assigned and performed. Properly handle all parts, units, assemblies and aircraft while in the repair process. Keep all documentation current as to open discrepancies and completed corrective actions. Complete all associated and required documentation for maintenance work performed or inspections conducted accurately and correctly. Submit personal OJT task cards on time and accurately. Keep the work area safe, clean and operative, and ensure all tools are accounted for on completion of assigned tasks. Properly care for and use tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance. Notify the Maintenance Supervisor and all other appropriate Team Members of any condition that would compromise the airworthiness of Breeze aircraft. Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, or Repairman Certificate, and keep it available for inspection by the FAA, NTSB or a Breeze Supervisor or Manager. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC and/or the DOM. Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in line with the Breeze Aviation Group values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence. Licences & Qualifications Licence: current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licence with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types. Valid driver's licence and a valid passport with no travel restrictions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements. High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement; a degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance or business is preferred. Experience Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications. Preferred: understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR Part 121 operations. Preferred: experience maintaining Embraer E-Jet and/or Airbus A220 family aircraft. Preferred: familiarity with an airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAX. Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have authorisation to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Must be flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime if needed. Must be willing to travel 20% of the time and to work with other departments within the company as needed. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test. Must pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check. Must be fluent in English and able to read, write, speak and understand the language. Exemplifies the Breeze safety culture, values and mission, with excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Frequently lift, carry, push or pull items up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed. Climb ladders, work stands and aircraft structures, and work at elevated heights. Work in confined spaces, awkward positions and varying weather conditions on the ramp or in the hangar. Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach for extended periods. Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle components, requiring manual dexterity. Adequate vision to inspect closely and hearing to detect unusual sounds; exposure to noise and fumes. Salary Pay is based on years of experience: year 1 - $30.50 per hour; year 2 - $31.00; year 3 - $31.50; year 4 - $34.50; year 5 - $36.00; year 6 - $37.00.
