Role Overview The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor I is responsible for the efficient execution of the work scope and for the maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations performed under the authority of the company's FAA Certificated Repair Station. Location: Los Angeles, California. Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 4/10 schedule, swing shift. Key Responsibilities Work effectively with Aircraft Controllers and the Quality Assurance Inspector to execute the aircraft work scope, and communicate with customers as required. Promote an environment that provides the team with opportunities to succeed. Contribute to annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel and monitor and document employee performance throughout the performance period. Attend the customer debrief meeting for all assigned aircraft. Assign maintenance technicians, QC and support shop technicians to work scope tasks and monitor performance against plan. Supervise daily activities to ensure maximum efficiency and act to keep all work within schedule and estimated labour and material costs. Monitor and control overtime. Ensure qualified personnel are assigned to every task and that applicable technical data is used. Assist the operations manager in identifying additional technical training needs. Ensure aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms are completed per the methods of execution in the company's Repair Station Manual. Provide a comprehensive shift turnover to ensure maximum efficiency. Manage aircraft downtime and schedule to ensure timely delivery of a quality product. Collaborate with the assigned Controller or Aircraft Maintenance Manager for Work Order Squawk Form approval. Collaborate with the assigned QA Inspector to achieve aircraft approval for return to service. Ensure crews maintain good housekeeping practices and take immediate action to maintain a clean, safe environment. Ensure assigned crews follow adequate safety precautions and procedures, and inspect equipment against company safety and OSHA standards. Supervise a continuous safety programme covering support equipment operation, aircraft systems, housekeeping and hazardous materials. Support the company's mission and values through department goals and objectives, contributing to process improvement and strategies that improve customer service and the maintenance process. Observe and administer company rules, regulations, safety policy and standard operating procedures. Other responsibilities as requested or assigned. Licences & Qualifications A&P Certificate required. Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience. General aviation experience required. Thorough knowledge of the general aviation industry, aircraft makes and models, and ground support suppliers. What We Offer Likely pay range of $57.00-$68.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the hourly wage is set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements.
