Role Overview The mid-level (PL) Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic Professional - Avionics performs maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration and reconstruction on aircraft and their assemblies, supervises less experienced personnel, and where qualified approves aircraft for return to service, in accordance with Brazilian civil aviation regulations (RBAC) and Helibras manuals. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration or reconstruction of an item, including inspection, on aircraft and their assemblies (RBAC 43.3(b), RBAC 43.15(a)). Carry out services in accordance with the aeronautical legislation in force, the Helibras Maintenance Organization Manual (MOM) and Quality Control Manual (MCQ), and the data in the aircraft, engine and component manufacturer manuals. Use methods, techniques and practices from the latest revision of the manufacturer maintenance manual, the instructions for continued airworthiness, or other methods approved by Helibras (RBAC 43.13(a)), and ensure materials used comply with legislation and manufacturer standards (RBAC 43.13(b)). Perform inspections or other maintenance specified in an airworthiness limitations section of a manufacturer maintenance manual or other instructions for continued airworthiness (RBAC 43.16), and comply with manufacturer service bulletins and Airworthiness Directives issued by aeronautical authorities (IS 39-001, item 5-10). Supervise non-qualified persons carrying out maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations, excluding inspections, within the prerogatives of the licence and training held (RBAC 43.3(d), RBAC 145.153). Support junior and mid-level aircraft maintenance mechanics and mechanic helpers, guiding them in line with work orders and the maintenance manual, and assist in training and developing less experienced staff. Provide technical support services for innovation activities through the implementation and maintenance of facilities or equipment used in research, development or technological innovation projects. Act as Inspection Delegate when designated. Approve the return to service of aircraft when holding the airframe and powerplant qualification (RBAC 43.7(b), RBAC 145.157(a)), being proficient in applicable civil aviation regulations and in the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools appropriate to the work (RBAC 145.157(b-2)). Approve the return to service of aircraft that have undergone major repair or major alteration (RBAC 43.7(i), RBAC 43 Appendix B). Record services performed or supervised in accordance with current legislation using the company forms defined in the MOM/MCQ (RBAC 43.9 and 43.11). Record execution and approval of return to service for aircraft subject to major repairs or major alterations using form F-400-04 (SEGVOO001), and for components after maintenance, preventive maintenance, reconditioning, modification or repair using the Authorized Release Certificate, form F-100-01 (SEGVOO003) (IS 43.9-002). Keep the workstation clean and organised, collect and dispose of all waste at the end of the day, and clean, organise and store all tooling so that no tool is left in the aircraft or aeronautical product. Licences & Qualifications Technical education in aeronautical maintenance (MMA). Brazilian technical licence (CHT) in AVI (avionics) and CEL (airframe). CHT in GMP (powerplant) desirable. Proficiency in Portuguese (speaking, writing and reading). Intermediate English, assessed at interview. Experience Solid experience in the role. Solid experience with the Airbus Helicopters range.
