Role Overview As an avionics-licensed AME you will support the Canadian government's CC330 Husky fleet, which operates as a new Strategic Tanker Transport Capability (STTC) and also carries out troop and passenger movements and VVIP travel, including for the royal family, the Governor General and the Prime Minister. The role offers several opportunities to travel the world as a flyer with generous compensation. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME E) performs work and is ready to sign a Maintenance Release for that work. The employee must hold an appropriately rated Transport Canada AME licence, must have demonstrated acceptable levels of knowledge of the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and its Quality Program, and must have been issued an ACA Authorization to sign a maintenance release in respect of work performed on aeronautical products. Location: Ottawa, Ontario - Ottawa International Airport (YOW). Schedule: rotation shift. Compensation: $44.82 - $58.60 per hour. Key Responsibilities Perform work up to and including certification using approved processes. Carry out repair, modification and maintenance of aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures. Report any unairworthy conditions discovered, including challenging working conditions. Use certified and calibrated standard measuring and test equipment. Assume responsibility for your work as indicated by your signature or stamp. Marshal, fuel and tow aircraft, and maintain a clean work area. Maintain familiarity with L3 MAS policies and processes and with the Maintenance Process Manual (MPM) and related processes. Travel on board the aircraft to service and carry out repairs as needed throughout the world. Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations at all times. Complete all assigned training and tasks on time. Participate in the Safety Management System Program Committee on Aircraft if requested. Licences & Qualifications AME E licence with qualifications on A330 heavy aircraft. Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience on A330 aircraft. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Requirements Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to be productive and multi-task in a demanding work environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional Information Eligibility criteria: must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance; and must be eligible to meet the requirements of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
