Role Overview Aircraft Maintenance C - P8-A Program (job code 42189), based on site in Waco, TX, on a 4/10 work schedule. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational safety and efficiency of aircraft and involves extensive hands-on work inspecting, maintaining and repairing aircraft to ensure compliance with safety regulations and performance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft components in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and FAA regulations Conduct thorough inspections to identify any wear, tear or damage and carry out the necessary repairs Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues Adhere to maintenance manuals, technical specifications and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities Document all maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs and records Collaborate with engineering teams and provide feedback on aircraft performance and any issues encountered Ensure all tools, materials and equipment are calibrated correctly and maintained in good working condition Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes and practices Perform flight line operations, aircraft inspections and repairs, sometimes in confined spaces and inclement weather Licences & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate degree Preferred: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Preferred: active Secret security clearance Ability to obtain certification to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, aircraft support equipment and towing vehicles Must be a US citizen Experience High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience Minimum 6 months of experience in aircraft maintenance on the P-8, preferably with a focus on complex mechanical and avionics systems Preferred: experience with a variety of the aircraft models the company operates, such as the C-130, P-8A and G550 Preferred: advanced troubleshooting skills with a focus on avionics and electrical systems Requirements Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering documentation Proficiency with aircraft maintenance software and diagnostic tools Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and on-call shifts Ability to climb ladders, stairs and portable stands and navigate these, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to pass a flight line physical Must have the required tools before starting work; a tool list will be provided. Requirements

  • Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft components in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and FAA regulations
