Role Overview This is a full-time position reporting directly to Maintenance Control with oversight from the Director of Maintenance (DOM). The responsibilities cover the day-to-day aircraft maintenance needs of the company, involving a variety of maintenance tasks relating to its aircraft and engines. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high mechanical aptitude, exemplary work ethic, strong knowledge of line maintenance and proficiency in FAA regulations, with excellent communication skills and the ability to exhibit the values and culture of the company in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor maintenance activities and supervise Maintenance Technicians Develop and administer technician schedules for those assigned to the station Coordinate with HR and payroll on related matters for the technicians assigned Provide supervision and perform maintenance activities as required, ensuring strict adherence to accepted or approved manuals Assign tasks to technicians under their assignment Complete, and provide oversight of technicians to ensure, all required paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently Promote teamwork among maintenance personnel and flight crews Maintain workspaces, materials and tooling in accordance with company policies and procedures, industry best practice and appropriate housekeeping Uphold safety and security procedures and awareness Obtain additional qualifications through training and education as needed, and other duties as assigned Licences & Qualifications Required: a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certificate High school diploma, General Education Development (GED) diploma, or higher Ability to pass an assessment demonstrating knowledge of line maintenance under Part 121 operations Possess and maintain a valid driver's licence, with a driving record from the state of primary residence that meets the company's insurance standards Active passport Pass a two-year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test and criminal history records check (CHRC) Eligible to work in the United States Experience Three years of experience on commercial aircraft in a Part 121 environment; Boeing 737 Classic experience highly preferred Basic avionics knowledge and skill highly preferred Ability to occasionally travel to airport or aircraft field locations at little or short notice Ability to drive tugs, trucks, lift trucks, snorkel lifts, boom lifts, tractors and other maintenance vehicles, and to taxi aircraft Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb and stoop frequently in confined spaces, and to work in elevated areas Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a team environment Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and the internet, and familiar with accessing online aircraft manuals Work includes outdoor conditions with seasonal weather; the position requires extremely strenuous physical work, sometimes involving objects in excess of 70 to 100 pounds Additional Information Requisition reference: client requisition ID 1523, external job ID 573791, ADP item ID 9201014213485_1.
