Role Overview The Aircraft Inspector performs inspections of aircraft and aircraft components and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed. The role works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Quality Assurance team, assuring aircraft and components comply with FAA and CAA requirements. The position supports large-cabin G500, G600, G650, G700 and G800 aircraft across the full range of maintenance service, from scheduled inspections to heavy structures, and covers compliance with FAA standards as well as 33 foreign certificates and customer Part 135 requirements. Key Responsibilities Responsible for Quality Control inspections on aircraft and components Complete inspections of aircraft, engine and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA-approved or acceptable data Ensure all work meets FAA, CAA and customer Part 135 requirements Coordinate mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting Keep accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft and components Coordinate throughout assigned jobs with Return to Service (RTS) to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner Audit maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft before approval for return to service Ensure aircraft and components are airworthy before any flight activity Mentor technicians on effective documentation quality and standards Provide technical support to inspection personnel in supporting FAA and CAA documented requirements Communicate with management as required to identify work assignments, timelines and delivery schedules Perform other duties as assigned Licences & Qualifications Licence: A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) licence required High school diploma or GED required Highly desired: FlightSafety initial training on the applicable aircraft models Experience 6 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical and/or mechanical) Strong understanding of aircraft inspection and maintenance practices Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, technical data interpretation and QC procedures Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and methodologies Preferred: experience with large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft Preferred: familiarity with FAA standards, foreign certifications and Part 135 requirements Requirements Strong computer skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to work from heights, including ladders, stands and lifts Able to work occasionally in confined spaces What We Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Generous paid time off Career growth and advancement opportunities Work on advanced large-cabin aircraft (G500, G600, G650, G700, G800) Exposure to full-scope maintenance, from scheduled inspections to heavy structures Additional Information Category: Quality Assurance. Requirements
