Role Overview Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group company, is hiring an Aircraft Fuel Systems Inspector to support aircraft maintenance and quality control operations in Wilmington, Ohio. The role places experienced aviation inspection professionals at the centre of aircraft maintenance quality assurance, ensuring all fuel system maintenance and repair work meets strict regulatory and safety standards. The inspector works within the Quality Control department, verifying airworthiness, conducting inspections and supporting maintenance teams throughout the repair and maintenance process. Candidates must be highly detail-oriented, knowledgeable in aviation regulations and capable of working in fast-paced maintenance environments, working closely with production supervisors, maintenance personnel and quality leadership. Department information Department: Quality Control Reports to: Vice President of Quality Classification: non-exempt, full-time Location: Wilmington, Ohio Key Responsibilities Coordinate with production supervisory personnel to determine daily inspection priorities Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts and components as authorised by the Director of Quality Conduct incoming, preliminary, in-process and final aircraft inspections Perform in-process audits and internal audits as required Initiate Suspect Unapproved Parts reports when necessary Initiate Service Difficulty Reports as required Provide and document on-the-job training for inspection personnel and maintenance technicians when required Ensure shift turnover reports clearly communicate all relevant operational information and are completed and filed daily Maintain accurate inspection documentation and operational records Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Requirements Must be familiar with applicable aviation regulations and inspection procedures Must be proficient with the inspection methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in aviation maintenance inspections Must be able to speak, read, understand and write English Strong attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills and professional personal presentation Strong customer service orientation, initiative to learn and expand current skills, and a reliable, dependable work ethic Strong objective problem-solving ability, a high degree of integrity and accountability, and excellent organisational skills Strong follow-through and follow-up abilities, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments Work environment: in and around aircraft undergoing maintenance or alteration, in hangar and ramp settings that can be fast-paced and high-stress; some travel may be required Licences & Qualifications Required: must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 Education: high school diploma required; some college coursework preferred Experience Minimum of 4 years of aviation inspection experience Additional Information Tank Tigers is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any protected status.
