Role Overview Avionic Technicians are an integral part of the Return to Service team. Their experience, practical knowledge, creativity and problem-solving skills ensure that aircraft are assembled in accordance with applicable documentation. Key Responsibilities Provide aircraft avionic fabrication, disassembly and reassembly tasks as assigned Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems Ensure all avionic equipment works properly before test flight Perform intricate and highly reliable soldering on components for navigation, control and communication Assemble and install electrical components Provide accurate diagnoses of difficult avionics problems Organise ground support and test equipment for flight test Ensure work accomplished on any aircraft or component complies with applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions, company policies and procedures, and regulated safety standards Ensure all replacement parts are inspected, eligible and properly certified prior to installation Ensure removed parts are properly tagged and routed to quarantine Carry out maintenance, repair, modification and daily inspection of company aircraft as detailed in the company maintenance control manual Complete and certify work reports for all work accomplished on the aircraft Follow company procedures per the maintenance control manual using safe work practices Carry out both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards Carry out Independent Checks when authorised as per company policies and procedures Work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service Work independently and carry assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations Follow safe work practices and procedures and use safeguards and personal protective equipment Report hazards, such as unsafe situations and activities, to a supervisor immediately Requirements Proven track record of success on complex assignments requiring considerable judgement, initiative and technical/specialised knowledge Able to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment Motivated self-starter, able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Licences & Qualifications FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) licence/certification or equivalent experience required Inspection Authorisation (IA) certification is a plus Experience High school diploma or GED required Associate degree strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree or equivalent a plus Minimum of 5 years' overall aircraft maintenance experience Additional Information Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, walk and hear; occasionally to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Requires close vision, distant vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Work Environment The role is performed regularly in both office and outside weather environments. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibrations and is frequently exposed to very hot or cold, wet or humid conditions. Occasional work in high, precarious places and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risks of electrical shock. The noise level is occasionally very loud. Requirements

• Provide aircraft avionic fabrication, disassembly and reassembly tasks as assigned
• Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems
• Ensure all avionic equipment works properly before test flight
• Perform intricate and highly reliable soldering on components for navigation, control and communication
• Assemble and install electrical components
• Provide accurate diagnoses of difficult avionics problems
• Organise ground support and test equipment for flight test
• Ensure work accomplished on any aircraft or component complies with applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions, company policies and procedures, and regulated safety standards

• Carry out maintenance, repair, modification and daily inspection of company aircraft as detailed in the company maintenance control manual
• Complete and certify work reports for all work accomplished on the aircraft
• Follow company procedures per the maintenance control manual using safe work practices
• Carry out both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards
• Carry out Independent Checks when authorised as per company policies and procedures
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service
• Work independently and carry assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
• Follow safe work practices and procedures and use safeguards and personal protective equipment
