About the Company Airbus Defence and Space is recruiting for its MRO A400M organisation at the Wunstorf and Langenhagen sites. Both are close to Hanover, the state capital of Lower Saxony, with the Steinhuder Meer lake nearby; the region offers strong recreational value, a full range of cultural options and excellent medical care. Depending on the focus of your role, your workplace is in Langenhagen or at the German Air Force base in Wunstorf, in direct contact with the customer and the product. Role Overview As Certifying Staff CAT B2 you work in a team on the most modern military transport aircraft, the A400M. You will also support national and international A400M customers on a case-by-case basis during planned and unplanned maintenance activities and retrofits. Key Responsibilities Carry out maintenance and repair work on military aircraft in accordance with the valid maintenance documentation. Perform installation and retrofit work and modifications, and provide the associated evidence and records. Assess aircraft defects for their impact on flight safety, for example MEL, MOSEL, LTA and DEMAR Part M, and rectify them. Assess work not carried out, including deferments and coordination with the CAMO. Oversee and monitor compliance with quality standards and aviation law requirements on the aircraft. Work as support staff in base maintenance and as certifying staff in line maintenance. Carry out regulatory acceptance checks and the associated evidence, for example Release to Service. Take part in the handover and handback of aircraft. Issue declarations of conformity, for example DEMAR Form One. Licences & Qualifications Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, aircraft electronics technician or comparable. Licence (mandatory): EASA / DEMAR Part-66 CAT B2 licence with type ratings. Experience Extensive experience in civil aircraft maintenance and/or on the A400M programme is a prerequisite. Several years of experience as EASA / DEMAR Part-145 CAT B2 is an advantage. Requirements Strong team spirit and resilience. Very good service orientation and problem-solving ability. A very high degree of independence and a strong sense of responsibility and quality. Willingness and experience to work in confined spaces and at great heights. Languages: fluent German and good English.
