Job Description

About the Company Airbus Defence and Space runs the A400M team at its Manching site. Located about an hour's drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town with a wide range of leisure and cultural activities, offering countryside quality of life with nearby cities within easy reach. Role Overview As Certifying Staff / Support Staff CAT B1 / B2 in line and base maintenance you support the maintenance of the world's most modern military transport aircraft, the A400M, at the Airbus Defence and Space site in Manching together with your colleagues. You will also support A400M customers on a case-by-case basis during planned and unplanned maintenance activities worldwide. Key Responsibilities Determine and evaluate the conformity of work performed by you or by qualified personnel, and release work within the scope of maintenance activities. Provide technical direction, support and supervision to non Part-66 MAML personnel. Troubleshoot mechanical systems and correct faults. Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities. Set up mechanical modifications, retrofits and engineering changes. Carry out repairs according to technical specifications. Perform functional tests and adjustments of mechanical components. Carry out findings, evaluations and assessment of deviations. Perform dismantling and upgrading work and assembly and disassembly activities. Carry out complex system tests. Manage the work-related documentation independently. Licences & Qualifications Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or comparable training. Licence: valid EASA / DEMAR Part-66 AML CAT B1 / B2 with type ratings. Experience Extensive experience in civil or military aircraft maintenance is a prerequisite. Experience in an EASA / DEMAR Part-145 maintenance organisation is an advantage. Familiarity with MS Office applications. Requirements Willingness to travel and flexibility; the job includes assignments at customers in Germany and abroad. High degree of team spirit, resilience and service orientation. Strong problem-solving ability and a very high degree of independence. Very high sense of responsibility and quality awareness, including the ability to meet quality requirements under difficult conditions. Willingness and experience to work in confined spaces and at great heights. Languages: good German and fluent / business English.
