About the Company Airbus Defence and Space is recruiting for its MRO A400M organisation at the Wunstorf and Langenhagen sites. Both are close to Hanover, the state capital of Lower Saxony, with the Steinhuder Meer lake nearby; the region offers strong recreational value, a full range of cultural options and excellent medical care. Depending on the focus of your role, your workplace is in Langenhagen or at the German Air Force base in Wunstorf, in direct contact with the customer and the product. Role Overview As an aircraft mechanic or aircraft electronics technician you work in a team on the most modern military transport aircraft, the A400M. You will also support national and international A400M customers during planned and unplanned maintenance activities and retrofits. Key Responsibilities Carry out maintenance and repair work on military aircraft in accordance with the valid maintenance documentation. Perform installation and retrofit work and modifications, and provide the associated evidence and records. Carry out de-rigging and re-rigging work as part of maintenance activities in accordance with the valid maintenance documentation, and make the necessary adjustments. Support the performance of findings and inspections and the creation and rectification of internal defect reports. Support the performance of system tests. Licences & Qualifications Completed training as an aircraft mechanic, aircraft electronics technician or comparable. Licence: an EASA / DEMAR Part-66 CAT A licence is an advantage but not mandatory. Experience Professional experience in manufacturing or aircraft maintenance with an MRO focus. Requirements Strong team spirit and resilience. A very high degree of independence and a strong sense of responsibility and quality. Willingness and experience to work in confined spaces and at great heights. Willingness to work shifts: a two-shift system, with no weekends or public holidays. Languages: fluent to business-level German and good English.
