In your flight plan, you are expected to work alongside the Operations Directorate team, aligned with the Company’s strategy and current regulations, contributing to the evolution of our operations with the highest standards of safety and consistency. Mission of the Role Exercise the authority of Captain from reporting for the flight until handover of the aircraft at the end of the journey, ensuring operational safety, regulatory compliance and the continuity of operations, and representing the company before passengers, crew and authorities, in alignment with the Brazilian Aeronautics Code (CBA) and current regulations. In addition, work in integration with the company’s teams, contributing with your experience to the continuous strengthening of the operation. Authority Exercise full authority over the aircraft, crew, passengers and cargo throughout the entire operation. Refuse an aircraft that is not in an airworthy condition. Delay, suspend or terminate the flight when indispensable to safety. Refuse boarding or order the disembarkation of persons who compromise safety or discipline on board. Adopt the measures necessary to protect the aircraft, persons and transported goods. Represent the company’s Administrator throughout the journey. Act in occurrences related to unlawful acts (AVSEC), maintaining communication with the control authorities. Contract extraordinary maintenance when necessary. Validate licenses and certificates, in accordance with the prerogative of the aeronautical authority. Operational Safety Ensure the safety of crew members, passengers and cargo from the closing of the doors until the final disembarkation. Ensure airworthiness conditions, weight and balance. Make sure of the correct quantity of fuel and monitor its consumption. Assess weather conditions, NOTAMs and aerodrome conditions. Ensure that the flight is duly dispatched with the DOV. Ensure compliance with the procedures of the Air Operator Security Program. Report unsafe conditions to the control authorities and to the Safety department. Identify and report operational hazards through the company’s official system. Crew Management Ensure the technical and disciplinary subordination of the crew. Delegate duties, except those related to flight safety. Designate the Pilot Flying and ensure the correct execution of checklists. Ensure that only essential activities are carried out during critical phases of flight. Safeguard compliance with professional regulations, including working hours, rest and operational limits. Compliance and Records Complete, or ensure the correct completion of, the Aircraft Logbook (Diário de Bordo) and the Aircraft Technical Report. Record occurrences that require mandatory inspection, such as hard landing, severe turbulence, tail strike, RTO, lightning strike and exceedances of operational limits. Ensure the recording of occurrences on board, including medical events, births and deaths, in accordance with applicable regulations. Ensure compliance with the Operational Safety Management System (SGSO) guidelines and the Environmental Policy. Cabin and Passengers Ensure the delivery of safety instructions. Ensure compliance with safety rules in normal, emergency and evacuation situations. Ensure the integrity and safety of the flight deck. Ensure the correct use of emergency equipment. Requirements Education: completed high school education (higher education is an advantage). Experience: 5 years of experience in the role and on the A330 aircraft. Mandatory certifications: Airline Transport Pilot License (PLA); Technical Proficiency Certificate (CHT) valid for the Airbus A330; valid Aeronautical Medical Certificate (CMA); Brazilian passport valid for more than 6 (six) months; valid US B1, B2 and D visas. Technical knowledge: applicable aeronautical regulations (RBAC 121 and CBA); Operational Safety Management System (SGSO); A330 aircraft operational procedures; widebody aircraft operation and long-haul flights. Languages: English language proficiency (ICAO) level 4 or higher. Important: the work location will be defined after approval in the selection process. Candidates must be available to relocate.
