As part of this expansion, we are seeking additional aircraft engineers to staff our base in Sydney.Position AvailableWe are currently seeking to fill one full-time position: AMERoster: 5 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off. <li>Responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of facilities, aircraft, components and equipment. </li><li>Determines airworthiness of aircraft and components IAW established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations. </li><li>Demonstrate the maturity, judgment, and analytical ability to perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance, preventive maintenance on company aircraft. </li><li>Provide guidance and direction to all leads and mechanics concerning the completion of work assignments, company policy and procedures, on-the-job instruction to the assigned group in related technical information job procedures, safety and general shop and hangar practices. </li><li>Ensure that the quantity and quality of maintenance personnel are maintained to complete the assigned duties of their area of responsibility. </li><li>Work is performed at airports/outstations, and various repair and material vendors. </li><li>Airport and ramp conditions may be noisy recommend use of personal protective equipment and requires an awareness of surroundings to prevent slips, falls, etc, in and around maintenance/airline equipment.</li><li>May work in adverse weather conditions</li><li>Requires contact with management staff and business relationships within the organization. <li>High School graduate or GED Equivalent. </li><li>Possess valid Airframe and Power plant mechanics license and have adequate training and professional experience. </li><li>1 year previous experience providing work direction in a leader role, motivating and mentoring employees preferred.</li><li>2 years previous supervising experience preferred</li><li>Possess valid driver’s license. </li><li>PC proficiency using Microsoft Office suites, word, excel, power point and outlook.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to read, understand and follow maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams</li><li>May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays. </li><li>Requires some travel.</li><li>Ability to use ladders, work stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties. </li><li>Ability to lift, carry or move aircraft components weighing up to 50 lb. </li><li>Engine shop build and QEC experience is preferred</li></ul>
