Thermal Vacuum Test Engineer
Overview:
Thermal Vacuum test engineer required to join the Airbus Portsmouth environmental test laboratory team in Portsmouth. Supporting the test requirements of internal business units and external commercial customers.
Main Activities:
Perform thermal vacuum testing on space and commercial hardware.
Perform temperature/humidity testing on space and commercial hardware.
Post-processing data test and reporting.
Working to national and international standards.
Review test procedures, raise quotations against external customer specifications.
Managing calibration of test equipment.
Assist with costs and scheduling.
Maintenance of the associated test facilities.
Requirements:
Engineering apprenticeship HNC or Engineering Degree
At least 5 years' experience of testing in a laboratory environment.
Experience of working directly with customers.
Ability to work flexible hours weekend/shift working on a rotating pattern.
Early Shift 6am -2pm
Late Shift 2pm - 10pm
Night Shift 10pm - 6am
