About the Company Airbus Asia Training Centre Pte. Ltd. delivers flight crew training for airlines converting to Airbus aircraft. Role Overview The Synthetic Flight Instructor instructs airline crews converting to Airbus aircraft on all operational, technical and performance aspects for a specific type or types. The instructor also assists the Head of Training (HOT) with other training-related duties when assigned. Key Responsibilities Instruct airline crews converting to Airbus aircraft on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type or types, using flight training devices, fixed base simulators and full flight simulators, so that crews can carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by the airworthiness authorities. Conduct theoretical training for type-rating courses, flight operations courses and aircraft performance. Adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardisation as required by Flight Development and Flight Standardization & Policy. Instruct crews within the defined time limits and evaluate crew progression. Decide, if required, whether extra training is needed to achieve the level of proficiency and competence defined in the training objectives. Participate in the review or development of training programmes as assigned by the Head of Training. Conduct standardisation duties if appointed as an Airbus Standardizer. Maintain a high level of airmanship to teach in a multicultural environment. Assist with flight training audits and FSTD (flight simulation training device) fly-outs and qualifications. Any other duty assigned by the Head of Training. Licences & Qualifications Hold or have held a CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) and frozen ATPL , or a valid ATPL . Fluent in English, with a minimum English Language Proficiency rating of 5, in order to communicate with trainees and the authorities. Completion of the Airbus Pilot Instructor Course (APIC) is an added advantage. Experience Minimum 3,000 hours as a pilot. Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-pilot aeroplanes (MPA). Minimum 1,500 hours on Airbus fly-by-wire (FBW) aircraft types. Previous or current instructor/examiner experience is an added advantage.
