Job Description

About the Company Skyborne is a pilot training academy operating approved training organisation (ATO) facilities with modern aircraft, simulators and courseware. Role Overview Skyborne is looking for skilled and talented Flight Instructors who are not afraid to think outside the box in order to deliver the best possible training to highly motivated, hand-picked trainee pilots. The role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with people and is motivated by delivering excellence. Key Responsibilities Provide flight training to assigned independent and contract students. Conduct flight training in accordance with the FARs and the SAA course outline or contract training course, as appropriate. Teach assigned training courses or contract training courses. Manage assigned students' training within the syllabus and the schedule. Maintain accurate logbook records for assigned students. Ensure assigned students are scheduled for stage checks in a timely manner. Maintain currency in all procedures and regulations. Maintain a minimum 80% pass rate on non-final and final stage checks of assigned students. Maintain recency in accordance with FAR 61.57, kept on file with instructor records. Adhere to SOPs and regulations. Complete annual recurrent instructor standardisation in accordance with FAR 141. Complete periodic line checks and evaluation flights as required. Participate in and promote the safety culture, reporting all aviation safety related issues via the feedback system and adhering to the related processes. Carry out other tasks assigned by the Programme Manager, Chief Instructor and/or Centre Director. Licences & Qualifications CFI, CFII and MEI ratings. First, Second or Third Class Medical Certificate. Recency of experience in accordance with FAR 61.57. Unrestricted right to work in the USA. Experience Experienced instructor with a minimum of 1,500 hours total time. Effective verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English. Ability to interact with a diverse student body.
