About the Company Skyborne is a pilot training academy operating approved training organisation (ATO) facilities with modern aircraft, simulators and courseware. Role Overview This opportunity offers sponsorship for Flight Instructors looking to expand their qualifications and advance their careers in aviation education. As a Sponsored Flight Instructor you will deliver high-quality flight and simulator instruction to trainees, in compliance with Skyborne's training and safety standards and applicable Aviation Authority regulations, while working towards additional ratings. You will instruct at state-of-the-art training facilities using the latest aircraft, simulators and courseware, alongside colleagues committed to delivering the very best. The position is based onsite at Bournemouth Airport and is available on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities Conduct training in accordance with the approved ATO training manual and the Academy's published schedule and programme. Deliver briefings and debriefings to trainees. Comply with all rules and procedures detailed in the ATO Operations Manual. Uphold flight safety in every aspect of training. Licences & Qualifications UK CAA Part-FCL unrestricted Flight Instructor (A) Certificate. CPL and IR-SP-ME. Minimum 200 hours of instrument flight time. IRI privileges, CRI ME and PIC MEP hours – these components can be sponsored. Unrestricted UK CAA Class 1 Medical. Requirements Strong commitment to aviation education and safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to trainees. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management and organisational skills. What We Offer Starting salary of £55,000 per annum, reviewed annually. Fully bonded sponsorship for additional ratings, including potential hour building on multi-engine piston aircraft (Piper Seminoles) in Florida. Competitive uncapped bonus scheme, subject to realistic and achievable targets. £100,000 loss of licence benefit.
